On November 25, 2023, a group of CBers and friends embarked on a cruise journey to attend the wedding of Young T-Bird and his lovely bride. The joyous event was filled with fun and camaraderie, sparking conversations about organizing a cruise for the entire CB community. Tweety Pie, Lady T-Bird, and Kariba (Tweety's daughter) eagerly took on the challenge, promising to make it happen.

Upon returning home, Tweety and Kariba immediately got to work, determined to plan a cruise without overlapping other CB Breaks scheduled for 2025. Tweety, who established an organization called CB Radio Times in 2022 to keep CBers informed about community happenings, decided to spearhead the planning under its banner. While scrolling through Facebook, she noticed an invitation from Frank Lucas for CBers visiting Nassau. Recognizing a perfect stop for the cruise, Tweety reached out to Frank, who graciously agreed to host the group despite never having met her.

Since this was Tweety's first time hosting a CB Break event, and Kariba was a newly minted travel agent, they opted to start small. They planned a 4-night cruise departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with stops in Nassau and CocoCay, Bahamas. By February, the flyer was distributed. After viewing it, Low 2 Da Ground from the Mini Maul Droppers of Grand Rapids expressed interest in co-planning the event. This sparked a collaborative effort between CB Radio Times, Karibean Escapes, and the Mini Maul Droppers.

Responses were initially slow. Despite enthusiastic social media comments, bookings were scarce, prompting Tweety and Kariba to extend the registration deadline. Determined, they resolved to proceed even if only ten people signed up. Their "no worries, fun regardless" attitude kept spirits high.

Gradually, registrations trickled in, and by the end, 35 people had signed up, turning the cruise into an unforgettable adventure.

Now, with plans already underway for an even bigger 2026 cruise, one thing is certain—it's going to be EPIC again!
